On the SS17 of the Abruzzo and Appulo-Sannitic Apennines, there are snow conditions which could affect traffic. The phenomenon occurs in two specific sections of the road:

• From 16,642 km after the Sulmona crossroads/SS487 crossroads in Caramanico Terme
• A 5.938 km before Incrocio Roccaraso - SS84 Frentana

Motorists are advised to pay particular attention and moderate speed in these areas. It is recommended to keep snow chains available and check the weather conditions before travelling.

In case of bad weather, it is always advisable to avoid unnecessary travel and, if you are forced to travel, do so only if you are adequately equipped to deal with adverse road conditions.
