Starting from 00:00 on 15 November 2025 and until 11.59pm on 15 April 2026, the use of snow chains on board or winter tires on the SS638 of the Giau Pass is mandatory. This measure concerns the stretch between the Pocol crossroads, where it intersects with the SS48 of the Dolomites, and the Selva di Cadore crossroads, at the confluence with the SS251 of Val Zoldo and Cellina.
