We should wait two years but in 2023 we could see the new 100% electric Opel Astra.

Thanks to the synergies between the houses belonging to the same group, the individual brands can acquire a great deal in terms of knowledge and innovative drive.

This is the case, for example, of Opel which has made a lot of information from the other Brands within the Stellantis group. Thanks to this new collaboration belonging to the same group, the new 100% electric version of the Opel Astra, now in its sixth generation, will be unveiled in just two years.

Remaining within the Stellantis world, the Peugeot 308, which can be defined as the sister or cousin of the Opel Astra, has already foreseen in 2023 (or similar situations) the presence of a 100% electric car.

This zero-emission version will obviously accompany the hybrid version which is already present in the price list. We have therefore arrived at the same generation as this beautiful car after 15 million cars sold since its launch in 1991.

Using the new EMP2 platform of the Stellantis group, the new Astra has completely revolutionized itself. It is bigger, more spacious and even safer. The aim is therefore to keep up with all competitors even outside of its own Stellantis group. We are talking, for example, of the Golf, but also of the Renault Megane and the Ford Focus.

With a price list starting at around € 24,000, orders can be made starting from October.

As for the design, we immediately notice a very close resemblance to the new Opel Mokka , which is characterized by a minimal front and LED lights on the outside of the grille. In this way the car appears wider and also more stable and sporty.

From the first images we see how the gold color for the lower part of the car and black for the roof is absolutely something graphically exciting. Also thanks to the use of large alloy wheels, the car is truly sporty.

Even the traditional handles on the sides of the cars do not clash, as the current fashion is to make them concealed. According to the twitter made by Opel, the future is absolutely brilliant gold, as this car wants to best express the relaunch of a historic brand.

Getting into the car you immediately notice how the dashboard has been divided into an upper and a lower part. In the upper part we have two large screens that allow the driver to have a complete view of the whole of the car.

Although it is not possible to fully understand the interior design, it is immediately evident that there is also a similarity with the Peugeot 3008. Excellent work therefore for Opel that absolutely wants to relaunch its C-segment sedan with a Futuristic and futuristic design.

A few more months and it will be possible to see it live on our roads.
