The new hybrid version of the Wrangler has just arrived in dealerships. 380 horsepower power and 50 km electric range. Let's find out together.
The hybrid also touched the Jeep par excellence. We are talking about the Jeep Wrangler which is now also present in the hybrid version 4xe. Technically we are talking about a plug-in version, that is a version that gives the possibility to recharge the battery.
In this way you can reach about 50 km of autonomy that can be used both in the city, but also in the extra urban area. In this way it is possible to reduce an important consumption in the early stages of use of the car.
This electric aspect allows the car to have a decidedly interesting shot that manages to reach 6.6 seconds. All thanks to the accumulator of about 17 kWh. The electric motor is mated to a 2-liter petrol engine with turbocharger and 272 horsepower. By combining the two engines, the power can reach 380 horsepower and 637 Newton meter of torque.
The car is equipped with a double clutch that allows you to connect the wheels to individual engines or both engines.
Obviously all the peculiarities related to the quattro per quattro and the reduced gears are not changed. The maximum wading depth remains 76 cm.
Jeep Wrangler obviously presents a whole series of fittings that vary according to the customer's needs. We have the Sahara, Rubicon and the celebratory version of the 80 years.
Prices can start from around € 69,500 and go up to € 72,000 for the version linked to the 80 years. Obviously these are basic prices that can be increased depending on the inclusion of other accessories.
The alloy wheels are obviously made ad hoc and have the size of 17 or 18 inches. There are 10 external liveries available, also in combination with the different roof configurations. Inside there is obviously the Uconnect Nav multimedia system with an 8.4-inch screen that is compatible with both Android Auto, but also with Apple Carplay.
The audio system was designed by Alpine with 9 speakers and a 552 watt subwoofer. Obviously there is no lack of driving aids. Let us simply recall in descriptive terms, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control and blind spot monitoring.
In our opinion, this car will definitely benefit from the contribution of the electric motor as it could be used more with zero emissions in the city. It's definitely not the first SUV to benefit from the hybrid version, but it's definitely the first extreme SUV to benefit from the plugin power form.
So welcome the new hybrid Jeep Wrangler
