On the occasion of the first 80 years of the Brand, special versions have been launched, dedicated to this event. Renegade, Compass, Wrangler and Gladiator will be subject to 80th anniversary editions.

Turning 80 is certainly not a small achievement . Both as regards a person, even more so if we are talking about a company. The industrial world is in fact characterized by an impressive speed in terms of reproduction and novelty. If a company manages to extinguish 80 years, it is truly the result of considerable management foresight. The company we are introducing is the American Jeep, which is now part of the Turin group headed by Fiat, which has recently joined the French to create the mega industrial group Stellantis.

On the occasion of its 80th birthday, # Jeep wanted to create special models for its legendary off-road vehicles . It was 1941 when production of the legendary Willys MB began , the first vehicle with 4x4 drive produced in series on a planetary scale. And now, after 80 years, we have reached an electrification process with the launch of the new 4xe versions.

All the “ 80th anniversary ” series are the result of the best-selling versions, to which technological and safety components have been added. If for Renegade and Wrangler, we already have the models ready to be purchased in the dealerships, as regards Compass and Gladiator we will still have to wait a few months until spring.

Although all the cars are distinct from each other, we can clearly recognize the 80th birthday edition thanks to the dedicated badge , declined in a style with semi-gloss Granite Crystal accents. The interiors feature seats upholstered in diamond-patterned fabric or black leather with tungsten stitching and an 80th birthday logo . By observing the exterior it is also possible to recognize this special version, even by the alloy wheels that have been dedicated and made unique.

For those who love technology, there is the new 8.4-inch and 10.1-inch touch screen , as well as the DAB radio and navigator with integration for smartphones and Uconnect services.

For all Renegade lovers, the range of engines that are subject to this precious and noble set-up is obviously the 1.6-liter Multijet II, now capable of developing 130 horsepower at 3,750 rpm and 320 Nm of torque. With a six-speed manual gearbox and front-wheel drive, it perfectly manages to support driving even on the most demanding off-road.

The petrol engine, on the other hand, is equipped with a one-liter 3-cylinder, 120 horsepower and 190 Nm of maximum torque. For lovers of hybrid engines, the 1.3-liter four-cylinder with plug-in Hybrid technology and 190 kg horsepower and 290 Nm of torque cannot be missed.

In terms of engines, the Jeep Gladiator 80th birthday is characterized by the powerful 3-liter Multijet with 274 horsepower, with 600 Nm of torque and an eight-speed automatic transmission.

For lovers of the hardest and most demanding off road, the Wrangler is certainly the perfect car. In this case we can have a 2-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder petrol engine and 272 horsepower, combined with 400 Nm of torque. There is clearly the plug-in Hybrid version that allows you to combine performance and consumption in an excellent way.

As for the Jeep Compass, no information has been released for the moment and we will therefore have to wait a few more months with the first spring heat.
