The Japanese automotive giant presents the new generation of the compact SUV. Much attention is paid to driving pleasure and comfort for a vehicle suitable both for everyday use, but also for very long journeys.

The new generation of the Honda HR-V compact SUV was presented a few hours ago: a vehicle characterized by a more rigid structure and important improvements in the suspension.

Now traveling even for long kilometers will no longer be a burden but certainly a positive aspect for those who decide to buy this vehicle.

Thanks to a careful study of the steering and braking system, the driver will always have the feeling of being able to perfectly manage the car in whatever area it is.

Driving comfort will then turn into something excellent and very pleasant to drive. Currently the vehicle has been built only in the full Hybrid version with two hybrid engines.

This last stratagem is already present inside the Honda Jazz, but it has been modified and revised to be inserted inside the new HR-V and modifications have been made due to problems related to the size and obviously greater mass of the SUV.

Now the SUV has an output of 131 horsepower and 253 Newtonmeter of torque. The batteries have been improved in order to have a higher energy density for more power. The battery cells are 70 compared to the 48 of the Jazz. This obviously to ensure greater autonomy also in consideration of the fact that the SUV has a greater weight and therefore a greater possibility of consuming more along the way.

The structure of the battery, however, has been studied in order to at least impact on the way of living the car. It is compact enough not to affect the interior space of the vehicle.

Aesthetically, the new Honda is gritty with well-defined lines and an almost vertical front. The front grille located in the center of the diamond-shaped grille stands out in an important way, characterized by an overhang at the top. The Honda logo has been positioned externally to the front grille and this gives it a perspective increase in size.

The headlights are developed horizontally with a cut that continues from the front and upper overhang of the grille. Large wheel arches which are well defined and give the car a robustness. The shape of the windows is not too aquata and this denotes Honda's desire not to make an SUV that is too sporty but nevertheless ideal for the family and for everyday activities.

The engineers worked to maximize the reduction in sound pressure when starting the engine by eliminating ignition of the heat engine to allow the electric motor to be started.

The vehicle is however very well soundproofed and therefore allows you to meet all the irregularities of the road surface without problems.

As for the prices we are about € 31,000 for the basic version characterized by the Elegance set-up. Going up the set-up we can get up to the € 35900 which is necessary to buy the top of the range.

In terms of consumption, Honda claims that it is possible to travel about 20 km with a liter as consumption is approximately 5.4 liters / 100 km.

To see it on the road? Starting February 2022.
