The Italian-American automotive group has launched a 300 million investment fund for startups.

The Automotive world always tries to keep up with technology and market developments.

However, it is not always easy to create automotive innovations, also in consideration of the fact of wanting to shape one's own research and development activity in the Automotive market.

The large automotive companies, in fact, need complex structures to carry out their activities and the various levels of implementation. Here, then, is how startups are the perfect structure to go and create new products within the automotive world.

Startups are also very simple companies, and very fast in changing their structure. Often and willingly, startups are made up of very few people, and therefore are very flexible in their structure. Their realization is characterized by a very marked dynamism.

For this reason, Stellantis has announced the launch of the first venture capital investment fund Stellantis Ventures. Initially, the fund will feature 300 million in loans , for startups that are in the initial or advanced stage, which develop innovative technologies, obviously customer-centric, to be introduced in the Automotive and mobility sector.

In simpler words, Stellantis is looking for companies that already exist, and that could be that turning point within the Automotive world.

Often and willingly, the great giants of the economy buy small companies, which had introduced very interesting peculiarities. After purchasing these small companies, large companies will make technological innovations their own, and then shape them and adapt them to the entire commercial world.

Here is therefore how Stellantis is important in terms of Automotive, for the progressive development of these small startup companies. Stellantis, will act as a strategic investor in order to help startups, thus allowing the integration of new technologies within the company.

This action by Stellantis aims to introduce the news in a short time, rather than years. Obviously, if a large company buys or finances these small entrepreneurial realities, clearly the novelties are immediately introduced to the market.

The startups, otherwise, would have huge problems in the fund raising and positioning phase of their product. Although startups are the most interesting in terms of technology and innovation, they often have problems of success.

The latter does not depend so much on the quality of the product, as on the ability of the start-ups themselves to position themselves and to be able to carry out an optimal commercial positioning campaign.

All these investments that Stellantis managers are about to make obviously have a return in terms of sustainability and competitiveness as well as technology. The User Experience of people will therefore be radically changed.

This choice was announced, as part of Stellantis' strategic plan, which allows to support aspiring entrepreneurs and promote innovation focused on customer satisfaction, as well as on sustainability and the development of technologies dedicated to mobility.

Returning to the world of startups, the role of Stellatis is to concentrate, both in finding realities at the beginning of its development phase, but also very cutting-edge technologies, always in the Automotive sector.

The automotive world, in terms of technology, can be explored in many aspects. Let's think, for example, of all the second level driving aids that are about to be implemented at the third level. The advanced materials would also allow a possible saving in terms of pollution, and in terms of environmental sustainability. Connectivity, as well as advanced software, would also allow the cars to communicate with each other and always be in communication, in order to allow greater use of the service all over the world.

Let's not forget any startups related to the world of virtual reality and production. If it were possible to create a startup capable of optimizing the production phase even more, obviously Stellantis would be very happy.

Optimizing production, in fact, means having a direct implication on the optimization of costs and minimization, therefore of profit margins by Stellantis.

This new phase of the Automotive world, that is the one linked to startups, is really interesting. We are facing an unprecedented change, where the big car manufacturers are asking for concrete help from small entrepreneurial realities, and from the small visionaries of the world of technology.
