The French brand presents the mid-career restyling of the small-medium sized SUV. Greater personality with more taut and aggressive lines, as well as greater autonomy (over 400 km) for the electric version.

When a car reaches its mid-career, the Brands immediately get ready to create the restyling.

It is therefore an aesthetic makeover, especially of some parts. The reason that drives brands to create a restyling is the need to refresh the exterior and adapt the car to the progressive introduction of new models within the automotive world.

Nothing is therefore distorted, but these are small improvements that can also arrive under the hood.

The arrival of this car on the market is dated for the end of 2019, and it immediately conquered many Italians. The merit is above all in the grit and in the good selling price.

The Peugeot 2008 is firmly at the top of the rankings related to medium and small crossovers. Since the launch of the model, almost seven hundred thousand cars have been produced and sold throughout Europe.

Four years after its debut, Peugeot is therefore preparing to renew itself externally but also internally, with the new language of the French house.

For fans of petrol and diesel internal combustion engines, there are no variations in this regard. The car is always presented with the 1,500 cubic cm turbo diesel engine, developed in four cylinders and 130 horsepower. The eight-speed automatic gearbox allows you to drive this car in a totally fluid and most relaxing way.

There is also the 1,300 cubic centimeter petrol version, available on a three-cylinder turbo, characterized by a power of 100 horsepower or 130 horsepower, respectively with the manual or automatic gearbox.

Interesting news for the electric version, which allows you to have 20 more horsepower and a range of up to 406 km.

The electric variant is rapidly conquering the Italian public, who reward it with 17% of the range mix.

It takes just 30 minutes to go from 20% to 80%, according to the Automotive company, using the powerful 100 kW public columns. In case we have to recharge it with the traditional domestic socket, 11 hours are necessary.

A new hybrid engine will also be available in 2024, featuring 48-volt technology. The latter will be combined with a 136 horsepower turbo petrol with a 6-speed dual-clutch gearbox.

Thanks to this introduction, it will be possible to reduce consumption by 15% and the possibility of traveling even 50% of the time in totally electric mode, within urban routes.

Even just looking at the photo, you can immediately see how the car has been renewed, especially in the front. This part has been redesigned, obtaining a more lively and sophisticated look, thanks also to the three luminous scratches.

The latter were placed within a glossy black, at the end of the front bumper. An aesthetic shape therefore more angular and muscular, which conveys aggressiveness and sportiness when driving.

In terms of equipment, these innovations are present starting from the "base" model, up to the sportier GT model. The emblem on the grille has also been modified, now with a new shape. The new version features the brand's new logo, now in the shape of a shield.

The alloy wheels are interesting, with 17-inch sizes, or even 16 and 18, depending on the configuration.

Climbing aboard the car, you immediately notice how the interior has been slightly revised with more finishes. The seats of the GT versions are upholstered in Alcantara, and the ambient lights are available in eight different colours, and vary according to the driving mode.

In this regard, the new Peugeot 2008 has a function that includes three technical arrangements, to facilitate driving on the most difficult surfaces. In practice, it receives from its older sister Peugeot 3008, the "sand", "mud" and "snow" mode.

The general structure of the interior is not changed, with the now famous small multifunction steering wheel and the raised instrument panel (fully digital in the more expensive versions).

The new central display is 10 inches on all models, and is in high definition to have an optimal view.

We conclude the description of the car, with the driving aids, which in addition to the rear and front cameras (optional), can count on adaptive cruise control and automatic emergency braking with the detection of pedestrians and cyclists.

There is also the recognition of the main road signs and the lane departure warning, as well as the blind spot monitoring and driver fatigue detector.

A car therefore that you want to review aesthetically with a slight restyling. Enthusiasts and lovers of the Peugeot brand, who were in doubt whether to buy this version or wait for a restyling, must now absolutely go to the dealership and talk to the consultants.

The arrival is scheduled for September of this year, and therefore it is already worth giving it some thought now, also in view of the aesthetic renewal of the car.

Thanks to these innovations, the new Peugeot 2008 is really very aggressive and as much in line with the latest market trends. We want to underline the alloy wheels, featuring truly innovative designs.
