The ultra sporty version of the Alfa Romeo Giulia GTAm won an important prize in Germany.

With the arrival of the last days of the year, prizes related to cars begin to pour in. The design is truly unmistakable and is made even sportier in the extreme GTAm version.

In fact, we are talking about a 540 horsepower car that won the Auto Bild Sportscar of the Year 2021 award.

This car in fact ranked first among the imported cars within the sedan and station wagon category. This category, as you can imagine, is really very crowded and therefore an award to Alfa Romeo is really something important.

Last year this award was won by the Stelvio Quadrifoglio SUV, the ultra-sporty version of the AlfaRomeo SUV. This year, on the other hand, it is always Alfa Romeo that takes this award home with the other sedan that is truly exceptional in construction and style.

An emphasis should be placed on this award, as it highlights how people are really fascinated by Made in Italy even abroad and enthusiasm definitely grows in the face of an ultra-performance car.

This new Giulia GTAm is a car made in a limited series in just 500 units. Alfa Romeo has been continuing for many years to carry out a tribute to the GTA series which takes its name from the legendary Giulia Sprint of 1965.

We are not clearly talking about a calm car in terms of manners and consumption as under the hood we have a 2900 cubic centimeter engine defined within a V6 structure with double turbocharging and 540 horsepower.

In practice, it is a small racing car placed under the ultra-light bodywork made with the highest quality materials and with a weight less than 100 kg compared to the traditional, albeit ultra-performing, Giulia Quadrifoglio.

Above this car there is not simply all the Alfa Romeo technology but also the technology and knowledge derived from the presence in Formula 1 as the collaboration with Sauber Engineering was used.

We do not know who will win this prestigious award next year as there is still a year left and we do not know which cars will be awarded, but it is certainly an excellent and encouraging result for the Made in Italy which highlights how knowing how to make 100% cars in Italy , there is still something incomparable and fascinating in every corner of the world.
