The international automotive manufacturers located in the Far East have decided to create an agreement for the joint development of technical specifications for the communication systems of new generation vehicles. Let's find out the details of this collaboration together.

Very often when we talk about new cars and present the new forms of autonomous driving design , we still know that these are experiments and projects of a single parent company. Currently, in fact, until now, there is no synergy project between different car manufacturers for the communication of vehicles between them.

In simple terms, if a certain car had to report any problems on a certain stretch of road due to the slippery road surface, it could not do so if not with possibly other cars of the same Brand. Therefore, if a new generation Fiat had encountered problems on a road, it would not be able to communicate it to BMW or Audi.

It is from this reasoning that the car manufacturers Toyota, Suzuki, Subaru, Daihatsu and Mazda have decided to join in a very important project in revolutionary terms.

Let's say right away that this is not a closed platform. This platform is therefore open to any other brands that want to join in order to work jointly. The car manufacturers have in fact observed how individually it is not possible to define interesting economies of scale on the technological side and also an optimal management of vehicle flows.

This speech may seem quite utopian but let's remember that current car manufacturers are laying the foundations for the autonomous mobility of the future. This aspect clearly cannot be developed in a few months, but it takes years of design and practical implementation of the different software.

The software of the car, for example BMW, is different from the software of an Audi, just as it is different from the software of Honda. In this way, the customers of the companies that participated in this project will have safer and more efficient connected services. The connection speed will be significantly better but also the quality and the return in terms of personal usefulness. Thanks to this project, the development costs for each individual company will also be reduced as they will also benefit from the developments of the other car manufacturers that are part of this project.

The additional functions will therefore have a lower cost and it will also be possible to create a more efficient interaction and integration system within the Automotive market.

At the moment, this declaration of intent has not yet been collected by the other car manufacturers. However, let us remember that logically and technology integrations can also be developed with other automotive manufacturers on the two-wheeler side. In fact, we must not simply think that our roads are traveled only by classic and traditional four-wheelers, but also by trucks and two-wheelers.

We are therefore pushing ourselves towards an increasingly integrated and increasingly connected global mobility system.
