The Spanish company has decided to create a center to develop 6,000 tests per year on the accumulators of electric cars.

In the midst of the industrial revolution linked to the world of sustainable mobility, all automotive manufacturers are trying to understand how to position themselves in the future.

Carrying out tests on electric batteries is a priority and fundamental aspect that allows car manufacturers to understand the future cars they will produce.

Being a new technology, a lot needs to be done and a lot of tests need to be developed in order to get a more complete picture of the situation.

We all know how slow the progress of a car is and if we think of the last hundred years, the main evolutions have been progressively spread over time. However, now we don't have that much time to wait anymore.

Pollution and the decision to abandon endothermic cars, leaving space only for electric ones, forced car manufacturers to significantly expand their Research and Development projects.

News a few hours ago Seat made the choice to significantly increase the Research and Development phase within a purpose-built center with an area of 1500 square meters and a capacity of 1.3 MW.

This center receives 7 million euros to develop concrete tests on electric battery modules and electric vehicles.

The power supplied by these batteries is equivalent to the power used by 350 families to have all the appliances switched on at the same time. Each year this center can have up to 6000 analyzes on batteries and recharging systems.

Seat's choice is to develop tests both for electric platforms but also for hybrid platforms. We remember how we are still at the beginning of this whole phase of development and therefore the car manufacturer connected to the Volkswagen brand can only go on to develop a double line of test development.

The decision to create a sort of internal unit will also allow Seat to focus on the quality of the batteries and not depend on third parties. We all know how the current crisis of buying a used car is linked to the long chain that car manufacturers have.

Too much reliance on outsiders can lead car manufacturers to unpleasant productivity situations. Achieving optimal efficiency within its own company therefore allows Seat to have a clearer and more congenial picture of its cars in the future.

We all see how the different car manufacturers are trying to develop plans for the next decades and this Seat choice is really optimal from a perspective.
